Ok so subaru has released the Brz platform car to be in production and at your delearship next year (2012) . Im crazy excited and to see i fresh face added to the fleet is also a plus.

Its 200hp/151ft lbs are generated by a new boxer (flat) four cylinder engine, co-designed by toyota and subaru ( *sigh) . This motor is also shared with one of Toyotas new car the GT-86. The car will come with a 6sp manual for all you gear bangers and a 6speed auto with sport and manual mode for all you ungodly blasphemers.
YES the car is rwd, seats 2, and 2. Announced to weigh 2690lbs, thats lighter than a for focus , which is extreeeemly light ! So we will see.

My bigest problem now with this car is the motor , It lacks vvt-i, vvt/vva. Im praying it was just an engine spec left out. Because its 2011, there is no reason for a car NOT to have a variable cam mechanism in its head. I’m hoping the co build of the motor didnt infringe on any of the two companies patent.

The Brz will come in an sti trim and will maintain is RWD lay out. *WIN*

BRZ STI (no top mount? YAY)

The concept of this is sick! I would love to do something along the lines of this and see how we can make it deferent.

I know I may be extremely late on this . I had NO clue Garrett released another line of turbos called the GTX . Now Garrett claims 10%+ higher flow and P.R over the conventional GT platform.

As the standard GT3582r turbo flowed ~68lbs/min the new GTX3582r flows damn nere 75lbs/min

Even the new GTX3076r rivals with the older gt35r flowing about 64-65~lbs/minute. you can see the difference in the blade design which was keep to unlocking more air flow!

Perrin Performance did a few test seen on nasioc and answered a few questions about the turbos.

” The Question, “Is the GTX turbo Laggier then the GT turbo?” Answer, “NO” .The Question, “Is the GTX turbo going to make more power?” Answer, “YES” .The Question, “Is the GTX turbo better?” Answer, “See above answers”. The Question, “Is the GTX worth the extra money?” Answer, “YES”. “

Ok so fortunately for all my irrational(original) members they’re getting free tunes. I don’t claim to be a pro tuner. I currently tune the current platform evo7-10, dsmlink / ecmlink,  Subaru stock ecus. that’s all i have equipment for at the moment and i will b adding dyno sheets of car as i do them so you can see.

I how ever will be doing hondata, honda crome (i already have crome pro dealer version just lacking hardware), nistune, and aem in due time.  i would love to get a “nerd” on my side to help me understand  ecu disassembly and hexidecmals so i can start doing euro ecus.
